DERA BABA BANDA (Jammu)
Dera Baba Banda Bahadur is a 300 years old historic gurudwara that is situated on the bank of Chenab River in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, around 75 km from the city of Jammu. The premise of the gurudwara has the samadhi of Banda Bahadur, the favourite Jathedar of Shri Guru Gobind Singh. Besides having ashes of Banda Bahadur, the shrine also has an arrow, a huge sword and some weapons given to Banda by Guru Gobind Singh. Annually, around 30,000 Hindu- Sikh devotees from across the northern India visit the shrine all the year round especially during the occasion of Vaisakhi mela. This is counted as one of the important pilgrimage and tourist destination of Jammu region.
