Padri is an undulating landscape located at a distance of 40 km from Bhaderwah on Chamba road. Perched at an elevation of 10,500 feet, Padri is the highest point on this road and experience heavy rainfall upto 5 meters during winter days. It is one of the popular picnic spots of Bhaderwah region.

The vast landscape runs in kilometers and is ideal for adventure sports like Snow-skiing in winters and Paragliding in summers. It is the highest Pass on Bhadarwah Chamba National Highway and the tourists feel extremely delighted reaching there.

Dressing Restrictions The visitor must carry woolens even in summers to enjoy the beauty of Padri.

Trekking
Padri stands midway to many treks originating from nearby spots. Some of them are:

  1. Jai – Bach Dhar to Padri to Thanalla village which traverses 30 Km that last 2 days and 2 nights with camping halts at Bach Dhar & Padri meadow respectively.
  2. Sarithal which is on Bhaderwah–Basoli road to Padri via Ashapati Mountain is a considerably short trek that lasts two days and one night but poses challenges to rock climbers and expert trekkers alike.
