At 8,500 feet it is a trekker’s paradise. As you drive past the Mughal Gardens of Achhabal, a picturesque Daksum sitting amidst the magnificent grandeur of Kokarnag spring appears. The sight is not only awesome but standing in a dense forest, Daksum offers peace and tranquility. Here the dominative noise is of the Bringhi River, rushing at its full speed.

Those who are fond of walking, trekking or admiring nature should once visit Daksum. Soon it will take you up to the hills enveloped in lush coniferous trees and small rivulets. The music coming out of the flute of a shepherd or the wind gushing past leaves will simply mesmerize you. Suddenly you will walk past the hills and into the grassy meadows with hundreds of sheep running around!

If anything is left out still, the distant snow-capped mountains would complete your mind blowing experience. This is the place one needs to spend some time and be with him/her.
