After a long wait our whole family could find some days off and we arranged for a trip to Vaishno Devi Shrine from Delhi. We were 12 members including 2 kids. We had opted for an a/c luxury tempo traveller so that travelling was comfortable. Moreover when all the family travels together, chit chats, discussions and laughter all happens all the way along. We halted regularly, had snacks, took small strolls and enjoyed ourselves to the hilt.

We left Delhi at 8 pm in the evening and reached Katra by 10 am the next day. The newly constructed roads made our journey pleasant. After some strolling around and freshening ourselves we started the climb to the shrine around 3 pm and reached by 8. As we climbed the views got attractive and we could not stop ourselves from clicking a thousand pictures. Every turn brought about a different view and everyone started fiddling with their mobile cameras.

The crowd was scanty and the Darshan was smooth and overwhelming. After covering the nearby temples, like the Bhairon Temple, we started descending around 10 am. Back to Katra by 4 pm, we took rest at our Hotel. We left for our back journey around 6 pm and reached Delhi by 7 am.
