Good News for Snow lovers or tourist who are planning their winter vacations in Kashmir as upper reaches of the Valley received light to moderate snowfall, Mughal road as well as Gulmarg received heavy to moderate snowfall, One foot of snow was recorded on Mughal road on Saturday. Gulmarg slopes recorded light snowfall of 2.75 inches early Saturday morning.  Affarwat and Khilanmarg experienced moderate snowfall since last evening.

First time this winter, Srinagar’s temperature has dropped-down to minus 2.0 degrees Celsius that created a glacial environment. The capital of Jammu and Kashmir is freezing up to the minimal level making everyone stay at their home inside the blanket wearing woolen cloths.

Fresh snowfall has resulted in drop of one degree in the minimum temperature at Gulmarg. It was minus 3.4 degrees in Gulmarg, 1.4 degree below normal. At health resort of Pahalgam, the minimum temperature was minus 1.2 degrees, Srinagar recorded a maximum temperature of 13 degrees Celsius and a minimum 2.0 degree Celsius.

Ladakh region continued to shiver as the minimum temperature remained below freezing point. In border town of Kargil, it was minus 6 degrees while Leh recorded minus 5.2 degrees.
