Despite being a hill station, Gulmarg boasts of warm nights in summers. Daytime is sufficiently warm but a lot cooler than the plains. The summer season starts in March and lasts until May. The rainy season lasts from July to August. Unlike many other hill stations, it rains moderately in Gulmarg and Kashmir as a whole. Till date rains have never disrupted normal life during monsoons. This season is apt for adventure sports.
