A crowned summer destination, Chinta Valley is also known as the Green Bowl as it is surrounded by Black Forests. This scenic valley is 25 kms off Bhaderwah and the entire drive is beautiful and enchanting to say the least. Standing tall at 6,500 feet it has thick coniferous forests on all sides and the Chinta Nallah flowing through it.

There are many scenic spots situated around this place like Thuba. Many visitors enjoy the Horse ride from Baggan to Thuba repeatedly. Thuba is the highest point which separates the Chinta Valley from Bhaderwah. Visitors also make it a point to visit an ancient temple of Lord Shiva at Thuba.

Just 6 km short of Chinta Valley a bridle path takes you to the famous Subarnag Peak, crowned by Subarnag Temple perched atop the hill at 10,200 feet. This is ideal for overlooking the whole of Bhaderwah & Chinta Valleys. The overwhelming views make the shutterbugs happy and busy all through the day.

In winters too the visitors flock the valley for its newbie friendly ski-slopes. Most skiing enthusiasts simply love the environs of this valley carved by the Chenab River.
