Tour Plan
Met and transported to Pahalgam upon arrival at the airport in Srinagar. Alternatively, meet at the airport or railway station in Jammu, then take a car to Pahalgam. After reaching Pahalgam, proceed to the hotel. Stay the night at the hotel.
Leave Pahalgam and head towards Chandanwari via the Valley of Shepherds. For the majority of treks, Pahalgam makes the ideal base. Chandanwari, a small cutoff valley at the intersection of the Sheshnag and Astanmarg streams, is 2896 meters high. After reaching Chandanwari, hike the remaining 13 km (3576 m) to Sheshnag. The trial ascends the Pissu Ghati before gaining altitude steadily until it reaches Sheshnag Lake. One of the windiest spots in this valley is Sheshnag. Dinner and a night at Sheshnag in tents.
Begin your 3657-meter trek from Sheshnag to Panchtarni. After crossing the 3,200-meter-high Mahagunas Pass, the walk gradually descends to Panchtarni. Continue hiking Panchtarni to the cave of Amarnath. Panchtarni is just 6 km away from Amarnath. Take a plunge in the icy Amarnath Journey Stream that flows just outside the cave. Within the cave lies a serene and serene scene of white and glittering Lingmas, standing tall as symbols of Lord Shiva, Parvathi, and Ganesh. Trek back towards Panchtarni afterwards. Dinner and a tent stay the night in Panchtarni.
Head out in the early morning to see the Ice Lingam at the Holy Cave of Amarnath (3953 M). Thousands of Hindus flock to this sacred cave on full moon days to pay their respects. A four-hour walk down a steep incline from Amarnath leads to Baltal. Spend the Night in Tents Spend the night at Baltal's Paradise Camping.
Proceed directly to Srinagar in the morning, stopping along the way to explore Manas Bal Lake and Khear Bawani Temple at an additional cost. Spend the night in a Srinagar hotel.
