When in Bhaderwah tourists should not miss the Vasuki Naag Temple, a wonder of art and sculpture. Located just 3 km from the city center, it has twin idols of Raja Jamute Vahan and Naagraj Vasuki, made up of black stone. Both idols are standing at 87 degrees for years without any additional support. Despite many earthquakes and geographical changes the idols are steady and this adds to the mystique to this shrine and with every passing year, the number of devotees keeps increasing.

Out of the four Vasuki Naag Temples in Bhaderwah, the first one is at Gatha, second at Nalthi, third at Bheja and fourth at Nagar which is highly revered amongst the local Hindu devotees. All these four temples are equidistant from the city center, that is, 3 kms. The Gatha Temple is said to be a work of 11th Century and later rulers undertook many additions and renovations.

In a bid to pay traditional homage to their presiding deity Vasuki Naag, the Bhaderwahi Community, has also built a temple at Bharat Nagar, Barnai Road, Bantalab.
