SARTHAL
Sarthal is one of the most popular places of the Kishtwar district. Located at a distance of 24 km from Kishtwar town, it is famous for Ashtaadash Bhuja (Eighteen-armed Goddess) Temple, an incarnation of Goddess Durga has been the Chief Deity of the Hindus of Kishtwar and its adjoining area from the ancient times.
There are several picnic spots in Saarthal like junwas, bandwaan, sumzaa, agral, ghaan. Every year, Zagroo culture festival is celebrated where Chakri Dance is performed.
